Aurelia Velasco is a visual artist and portrait photographer from Mexico City.

She specialises in portraiture as a form of storytelling and collaborates with emerging designers and independent Mexican brands while also developing creative editorial projects.

Her practice investigates themes of selfhood, the body and emotions through intimate visual narratives. She often addresses feminine subjectivity, non-normative beauty and processes of emotional reconstruction, using photography to reveal both presence and vulnerability.

Alongside her commissioned work, she develops personal projects rooted in self-portrait as a medium of expression and emotional catharsis. Through this visual language, she engages in a dialogue with inner dualities, building a body of work that functions simultaneously as a diary and an archive.

Her work has been presented in several exhibitions in Mexico and she is currently expanding her practice on an international scale.
